APPLICATION OF WAVELET-BASED MATCHING PURSUITS ALGORITHM TO MULTIPLE PARTIAL DISCHARGE PULSES EXTRACTION

On the basis of matching pursuit algorithm and Laplace wavelet, a new extraction method is proposed for multiple PD source recognition. This method uses Laplace wavelet to match the PD signal structure. The approach can obtain many features of PD, such as the time of occurrence, frequency component, attenuating coefficient, based on which, the PD pulses can be recognized to be from the repetitious discharge of identical PD source, or the respective discharge of different PD sources. The simulation and experimental results show a satisfactory effect of the extraction scheme for multiple PD source recognition.
