The issue on spatio-temporal retrospect is always the hotspot in T-GIS and needed urgently in some GIS applications areas. The retrospect contributes to spread out the whole geographical process, reappear history, track changes and forecast future.Based on the fact that events in real world cause the geographical feature changes, the paper starts with the aspects of the feature and the event.Taking fundamental geography data as example, the geographical feature changing types are concluded. Moreover, the event-tree index system which contends event relations and restrictions is established. On the basis, association mechanism between the feature and the event is analyzed, and the spatio-temporal retrospect thread that forms the event to the change operation and to the feature status is also designed.Besides, the spatio-temporal retrospect method of geographical feature based on event-tree is proposed, which realized the geographical features retrospect in random area and the single feature life cycle retrospect. Moreover, efforts are made to settle retrospect criterion of features in overlapped area in random area retrospect. In addition,a typical example is given to demonstrate the whole process of a single feature life cycle retrospect.
