AN AUTOMATIC TOOL FOR ANALYSING MACHINE LANGUAGE SOFTWARE:MSD

This paper describes an automatic tool for analysing machine language software—MSD (Multi-Scanning Disassembler).Using this tool,one can analyse a program automatically,and output an assemble language program,as well as the data,flow Chart,and table of basic blocks of the program. The targets and implementation algrithms of MSD,and a practical MSD realized on Z-80 computer are described.Then,we give some results of contrast tests both by manual and by MSD.These results show that the efficiency by using MSD will be 1.7～8.3 times higher than that by using manual analysis.
