Privacy preserving is an important direction for data mining research.How to get valid data mining results while meet privacy requirements has been receiving attention in the research community. This paper provides an overview of research area of privacy preserving distributed data mining.It introduces emphatically the problem of privacy preserving distributed data mining and technology.
