Defence Methods Against Buffer Overflow Attacks

This paper analyzes the rationale and threat of buffer overflow attacks. Then it discusses the necessary conditions of launching buffer overflow attacks, and introduces the defence methods under stationary or dynamic conditions. Finally it predicts the future development of attacking and defending skills of this technique.
