Design and Implementation of H.264/AVC Intra Prediction in Decode System

Based on the characteristic of intra prediction in video coding standard H.264/AVC,this paper analyzes all intra prediction modes. The proposed intra prediction hardware can reduce the areas of circuit effectively and improve the performance of decode system. This intra prediction hardware is implemented by Verilog HDL,at the same time,we simulate and validate the intra prediction hardware. Under SMIC 0.18um CMOS technology,the design is synthesized,the highest frequency is 142 MHz.
