Software project management is the core of software project implement.geo-spatial environment is the study object of GIS software,geo-spatial datum is multidimensional and geographic methods are complicated.So GIS software project management is of its own characteristic.Based on the practice,this paper analyze the characteristic of GIS software project management in detail,the conclusion can be helpful or referenced to GIS software project managers.
