New Joint Source Channel Coding Strategy Based on Joint Optimized Technology

Presenting a joint source-channel coding scheme based on SPIHT (Set partitioning in Hierarchical trees) algorithm and LDPC(Lower Density Parity Check) codes.Taking full advantage of the characteristics of SPIHT algorithm and LDPC Codes.Adopting scheme of UEP (unequal error protection) in channel coding based on compressed data according to the importance for reconstruction.The results show that the proposed scheme can make a better balance between bit error rate and code rate.
