Selection of AC Non-Gap Metal Oxide Surge Arrester for US Package Substation and Outdoor Ringed Network Switchgear

The paper analyzed and contrasted the two series of non-gap metal oxide surge arrester products both in domestic and imported according to the selection of major electric index of AC non-gap metal oxide surge arrester for US package substation and outdoor ringed network switchgear,from the angle of the assignation and operation experience of national relative standard.It is explained that lightning arrester should be firstly adopted with the domestic product that accords with national standard.If the imported products need to be used,the selection of products should be able to satisfy the index requirements of national standard and with less residual voltage.
