A New Method to Protect Against the SYN-Flood DDoS Based on Self-Similar Traffic

This paper proposes a new method to protect against SYN-Flood attack which is a typical attack of distribute denial of service attack.The method adopts the abnormity detection based on self-similar traffic and the validity of TCP connection from remote clients.The performance of the method is evaluated through experiments.
