Development of Intelligent Public Transportation Information Collecting System Based on Two-way Communication

Based on analyzing the popular public transportation information collection and transmission technology,GPS and IC card were used to collect information including public vehicles information and traffic flow information GPRS was used to transmit information.A public transportation information collecting system based on two-way communication was presented.The design of the software,hardware and information of the system was given.The system not only enables the information center or dispatching center to get accurate,timely information,but also makes the bus drivers get useful information from the center.Thus,two-way communication is realized.
