The key criterion of a stream media server’s performance is the capability of stream output and the number of concurrent requests it can support.This paper puts forward a system called SSMU for the performance evaluation of stream media servers,and analyzes the criterion of stream media servers’ performance evaluation.This system can evaluate stream media servers’ performance through one or a few clients.
