Method of Face Detection Based on the Deformable Template Matching

This paper presents a novel method of face detection based on deformable template. A new one-dimensionality deformable template is constituted by polar projection. A new energy formula is proposed and applied to deformable template. Several experiments are conducted and the results are satisfying.
