Data Integration of Multiple Data Sources Based on Shared Database

With the increment of the business scale and the alteration of the business demand, there is an urgent need for the data integration of multiple data sources in order to make better management, analysis and decision. In this paper, the model of the shared database is introduced. And, the differences of this model with data warehouses and conventional operational databases are analyzed.Also discusses problems of data integration of multiple data sources based on shared database. Specifically, it gives some solutions to deal with schema collision and data exception during the process of data integration. Finally, briefly discusses how and when the data stored in shared database should be updated.
