Analysis of Linear Code Error-correction Capability Based on Walsh Spectrum
SU Guang-chuan · Radio Engineering of China · 2006
The decoding result is called Walsh spectrum during the error-correction process using the Walsh-Hadamard translation. Based on Walsh spectrum, the spectrum mother function is presented as a new tool for studying potential error-correction capability. For example, the (15, 5) BCH code can correct no more 3 errors generally, but the analysis shows that it can correct 4 and 5 errors sometimes, success probability is 50% and 16.67% respectively.
