Evaluation Indexes for Urban Traffic Conditions Based on Real-time Information

Based on the analysis of the objectives and functions for developing evaluation indexes of urban traffic conditions,the meanings of urban traffic conditions were defined from multi-angles.Based on the availability of real-time traffic information and the needs for the traffic condition information by scene management,guidance,and signal control,a traffic evaluation index system for urban road network was set up.Moreover,the on-line calculation methods for each index were proposed.
