MAC Protocol Based on Routing Message for Cross Layer WSN

In order to eliminate the conflict between node energy consumption and network performance for Medium Access Control(MAC) protocol in single-layer network,this paper designs an energy efficient protocol named CLR-MAC based on AS-MAC. It uses the information of routing layer for MAC layer and modifies the control frame of AS-MAC to solve the compulsory wake-up problem. Through performance analysis and simulation,CLR-MAC protocol is linearity elevation along with the increasing sensor density.
