Study on Optimization of H.264 Video Encoder

Based on CDMA1X wireless video transmission system, the main objective of this paper is to optimize the time-consuming modules in H.264 such as SATD (SAD) computation, sub-pixels interpolation, integer transforms and quantization by using Intel SSE2 instructions. Experimental results demonstrate that the optimization reduces the complexity considerably and increases the speed of the encoder greatly.
