The schema theory sees the process of reading comprehension as the one that the old schema in the readers brain is activated and used to process the text comprehensively. The schema theory in fact confirms the dynamic role of the individual reader. This paper mainly discusses schema and its characteristics as well as the relationship between schema theory and the dynamic role of the individual reader.
