Spatial Direction Query Based on Cone Model

This paper analyzes the principle of spatial direction query based on cone model, and proposes the idea of selecting proper spatial directional relation formal description model according to different applications and different features of spatial data. Then a spatial direction query based on eight direction cone model is designed and developed for 1:250 000 spatial data of cities of every province in China, and the experimental result is satisfying.
