Research on PLC Based IEC60870-5-103 Protocol Parser and Its Application

The capability of communication and interconnection of PLC gets strong enough to be used in terrible field condition with high reliability.For that reason,a new design using SIEMENS S7-300 to replace microcomputer as communication interface is presented for realizing IEC60870-5-130 protocol.A system based on the design is exploited,which has been applied in a new mine of Zaozhuang Mining Group.Through Ethernet communication processor,it is integrated within the mining automation system realizing unattended substation in coal mine.Besides,it can be used in some other special occasions.The flowchart and STL program of the system are given in this paper.
