Relationship between main quality indexes of cotton and its grade

The cotton fiber's micronaire value,strength,breaking elongation,reflection (Rd),yellowness (+b)and other main quality indicators are detected with High Volume Inspenction.Meanwhile the trend diagram is constructed and the relevance between each indicator and cotton grade is analysed by means of statistical methods.The results show that the relationship between cotton fiber's micronaire value,strength,breaking elongation and raw cotton grades are not a linear.The color characteristics of cotton can reflect its grade characteristics,and there is a dialectical relationship between cotton color characteristics and grade,while cotton grade getted by organoleptic testing does not reflect its quality characteristics accurately.
