IDSS(Intelligent Decision Support System) is the combination of AI and DSS,which can help to solve the complex decision issues through logic reasoning based on thorough application of export knowledge by ES technique.The current research and application situation of IDSS is:more single application,less comprehensive application;and more theoretical study,less practice.The application of IDSS in the petroleum industry has involved in every part of exploration and production.Along with more difficulties in the exploration and production,technical decision difficulty on EP and petroleum engineering technology becomes more.The application of IDSS technology should be exploited further,which will provide data support and result sharing for the researcher and reliable decision foundation and tool for the decision maker.The construction of IDSS in petroleum industry is a very complex systematic engineering.Under the principle of structure first,easy first,construction and application at the same time and integration and innovation,the structure and technology should be selected,and then it can be applied step by step until it turns perfect.
