Study on Comprehensive Assessment Method for Network Security Based on Delphi and ANN

Network security assessment is a complex system engineering.Most of current security evaluation tools are only used to scan and detect the security vulnerabilities of network system.In order to have a comprehensive assessment to network security,the thinking and method of system engineering must be adopted.The various factors of influencing network security are deeply studied by using Delphi method in this paper,and the comprehensive assessing index system of network security is constructed.The artificial neural networks model for security assessment is proposed,and the computer simulation experiments are conducted. The results show that this model can be used to a comprehensive assessment of network security levels effectively.Thus,the new idea and method are provided for overall assessing security state of computer networks.
