The establishment of the information system of highway engineering surveying based on GIS highway engineering could resolve the problem such as not being able to querying the position quickly,so raising working efficiency.The paper studied in the total way of thinking,technique route,the database design,the function of the Information system,and presented the method of realizing it with the Visual Basic 6.0 and MapX5.0 Controls.
