A Non-Watermarking Algorithm Based on NMF

This paper presents a non-watermarking algorithm via NMF structuring key.Firstly,Non-negative matrix factorization(NMF) is used to translate the vector image into the base matrix and the corresponding coefficient matrix.Secondly, the binary watermarking image is scrambled and extended to the size of the coefficient matrix. Then the value of pixel of watermarking is compared with the value of the high bit-plane in binary encoding of the coefficient matrix. If their values are equal,we mark the location of the coefficient matrix in a blank matrix that would be used as a key to detect the watermarking later.Good performance can be achieved because the watermarking information was scattered to the high bit-plane of the coefficient matrix and the coefficient matrix wasn't modified. We compared the presented method with DCT-based scheme.Experimental results showed the validity of the new method.
