This paper discusses the problems of synchronization stability and pinning control for general discrete-time complex dynamical networks with time-delay.New delay-dependent conditions for this kind of networks are presented to guarantee that the synchronized states are asymptotically stable, which are less conservative.Pinning control strategies are designed to make the dynamical networks synchronized. In addition, the problems of designing controllers are converted into solving optimal problems of linear matrix inequalities that are readily solvable by available numerical software.A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the method.
