A survey of surrogate models used in MDO

Surrogate model is a key element of the multidisciplinary design optimization(MDO).Three widely used surrogate models,Polynomial Response Surface Model,Radial Basis Function Model and Kriging Model are reviewed and discussed systematically in this paper.At the end of this paper,three surrogate models are constructed to describe the span lift distribution of an aircraft wing,and the constructions,features and coverage of these models are also discussed and evaluated.
