Network Lab Design and Implementation

The framework of a high-performance network lab as well as its implementation is introduced in this paper. LAN,MAN,WAN,Wireless Network and their interconnecting are included in the lab. Meanwhile, many operating systems such as: UNIX,LINUX,WINDOWSNT are equipped to the lab. Many different network circumstances can be emulated. A lot of route protocols and multicast protocols including RIP III, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP4, DVMRP, IGMP, CGMP etc. are supported for these network devices. Furthermore, these lab settings can provide normal internet services: WWW, DNS, FTP, PROXY, EMAIL, DIAL. VOIP and videoconference also can be realized in these lab settings.
