Metadata registry prototype system for information resource identification

This paper focused on the distinct coding schemes about information resource identifier in various fields and organizations,provided information platform and practice system for the implementation of national resource identified programs,as well as accomplished functions of registering,managing and unified checking on national information resource metadata.First,according to the feature of the distributed system,Web service technology was adopted to build distributed systems.Then this paper applied XML Schema to embody the diversity of metadata in various organization.Finally,referred to some models like international ebXML and DOI registration systems,the paper designed and implemented of metadata registry prototype system for information resource identification,which realized functions of identifier allocation and registration,metadata registration,query,retrieval and related data management and so on.
