Carrier Frequency Estimation Based on High-Order Cyclic Cumulant

First, the research results of carrier frequency estimation based on the high-order cyclic cumulant are systematically summarized, and the principles for carrier frequency estimation of MASK, MPSK and MFSK signals are theoretically deduced. Meanwhile, the performance of square-order reducing is tested and its limitation is also pointed out. And then with 16QAM signal as a sample, the method is theoretically proved applicable to the carrier frequency estimation of MQAM signal. And the simulation results shows that the method is correct. Finally, the paper makes a brief summary, pointing out the problem existing in the estimation method and giving the solutions.
