In this paper , we discuss the application of fuzzy logic with data mining arid genetic algorithm in intrusion detection , present the algorithm to mining fuzzy association rules and fuzzy frequency episodes from audit data, and describe how to optimize membership functions of fuzzy logic by genetic algorithm in order to improve the performance of intrusion detection system
