Shearer fault dignosis based on fractal grid dimension
Cui De-jia · Sensor World · 2013
The basic theory of fractal grid dimension is introduced. The analysis methods and relevance judgments of fractal dimension are summarized. The fault features and the diagnostic methods of shearer gearboxes are presented too. The grid dimensions are calculated when a shearer gearboxe works in three different operating states which include normal state, inner race pitting state and outer race cracking state. In addition, the fault diagnosis is made using the grid dimension distances, and a better result is gained.
