An intelligent system for work orders and switching orders of substations was presented based on system diagram.The object-oriented software development technology and component-based technology were used.All objects of substations were loaded to main system connection diagram,protection equipment diagram and protection and control panel location diagram.The formation of operation items and safty measures are completed by clicking on system diagrams.Then the operation tickets and work orders are finished.The software configuration,implementation and main functions of the system were also put forward.At present the system is used by Liaoning electric power company limited.
