Data bank, no matter what its requirements for geographical position, format and communication, can integrate all the data of a department together, making analysis from historical point of view for final users convenient and working out a strategic decision. The technology of data seeking can find potential, valuable and unknown relationship, mode and tendency from a vast amount of data and express them in an easy way. Through discussion on data seeking technology of data bank and establishment of a data bank for flood control decision-making support system, the paper approaches the application of data seeking technology in flood control decision-making support system. Applying data bank and data seeking technology into flood control decision-making support system not only is feasible in theory and practice, but also enlarges the contents and extension of flood control decision-making support. Thus, it has a vast range of prospects for application.
