Design and performance research of E-PDCCH in LTE-A system

With the introduction of new technologies in LTE- A system,the capacity and same frequency interference of PDCCH has become the bottleneck of system performance. E-PDCCH is introduced into 3GPP in Release 11. The design of resource mapping in the transmitter and the blind detection algorithm in the receiver are studied in detail in this paper,and then the performances of PDCCH and EPDCCH were compared by simulation on downlink platform of Matlab. The results show that E-PDCCH has lower error rate and better anti-fading performance than PDCCH with the same configuration.
