Design of Low Power Rapid Start-Up CMOS Crystal Oscillator Circuit

To solve the problem of excessive power consumption and long start-up time of Pierce crystal oscillator circuit,a low power and fast start-up crystal oscillator structure was proposed.Inverse amplifier for conventional Pierce circuit was improved to reduce power consumption of the circuit,and start-up circuit was introduced to reduce the start-up time of the crystal oscillator.Both theory analysis and simulation results showed that the improved CMOS crystal oscillator circuit not only started rapidly,but also had a significantly reduced power consumption.
