PREDICTION OF THE VARIETY OF NATURE GAS CONSUMPTION WITH R/S ANALYSIS METHOD

Nature gas consumption affects the production engineering,gathering engineering and transportation engineering greatly.The consumption at different time forms a time series.The R/S method as one of the popular approaches for researching time series,is of simple calculation and easy operation,without the complicated process of factor analysis.In this paper,the time series of nature gas consumption of a certain district in southwest China in successive 21 years is researched.The Hurst index of the series is 0.923,based on that,the change trend of nature gas consumption in this district is predicted.The prediction situation is very close to the practice one.So a new method is investigated for nature gas consumption prediction.
