The Basic Principle and Accuracy Analysis of RDM With Electronic Total Station

The RDM is a kind of expert measure function of Electronic total station, it can indirectly measure level distance that two point cannot be seen directly, and the method is flexible for seting up station and simple for operating. Because its accuracy isn't marked, it needs to be calculated. According to the basic principle of RDM with electronic total Station, this paper obtained the calculating formula of accuracy for RDM and verified the formula and analyses its accuracy by the examples, discussed the rule of RDM's accuracy change which is responsible to the observation station's change,and found a way to enhance Accuracy of RDM.
