Method of Wavelet Packets and FFT to Detect the Broken Bars Fault Signal of Motor

In allusion to disposing of the broken bars fault signal of asynchronous motor,A new method based on wavelet packets and FFT is presented.Using this method can make up the weakness that using FFT has no resolution in time area and can not identify the weak fault signal;also make up the shortage that using wavelet packts can not acquire the signal on frequency order.It is proved that using this method can accurately detect the broken bars fault signal of asynchronous motor.
