Fast Fractal Decoding Algorithm with Average of Range Blocks as Initial Image

Based on the property of fractal image coding algorithm this paper expounds and studies the fractal image decoding algorithm. According to the characteristic of fractal image decoding, the average of range blocks is selected as an initial image of iterative decoding. Experimental results show that the reconstructed image can be obtained by a few iterations using the decoding algorithm mentioned before combined with other methods.
