Mapping knowledge domains is a kind of graph showing the relationship between evolution and structure for science knowl- edge;it directs the development of scientometrics. This chapter introduces the evolution history of the mapping knowledge domains in the view of citation analysis and information visualization, and explains some special mapping and corresponding principle respectively, such as Three Dimension Configuration Map,Multi-Dimensional Scaling Map,Social Network Analysis Map,Self-Organizing Map and Pathfinder Network Scaling Map.Its Promising applications show that mapping knowledge domains is an effective knowledge man- agement tool to sciencetechnology research and enterprise technology innovation.
