Computer labs are the very place where the students' innovative spirit and practical abilities are formed. However, when the computer labs are open to the students, the loss of HD data often arises as a result of wrong operation, virus or intentional damage. Such a loss brings about great difficulties in the management and maintenance of computer labs. Therefore, it is necessary to find a convenient, easy and effective way to repair the system. The hard disk resume card is such a way. The correct ways to use these cards are introduced in this paper so that the protection of HD data in open computer labs can be ensured.
