Researches on Mapping about OWL DL and Relational Database

Ontology is an explicit and formal specification of shared conceptualization.Reasonable and effective ontology storage is the premise of the knowledge-sharing.On the basis of studying the storage patterns of the OWL ontology and the existing storage patterns of ontology based on relational databases,a new method of storing the OWL ontology is proposed based on relational databases.The structural word characteristics of OWL are researched,with reasonable database patterns designed to store the information extracted from the owl ontology files.The experimental results demonstrate that the semantic information of ontology is saved well and the efficiency of searching,inquiry and mapping enhanced.
