The research of silence processing problem for audio communication compressing algorithm on internet

This paper introduces a silence suppression algorithm, which specifies a coded representation that can be used for compressing the speech or other audio signal component of multimedia process. By a voice activity detection algorithm and a comfort noise generation algorithm as parts of the silence suppression algo- rithm, it is used to reduce the transmitted bit rate during intervals of speech and discontinuous transmitted.
