Model of differentiation of syndromes in TCM using D-S evidence fusion

Aiming to improve the accuracy and flexibility of uncertainty reasoning in TCM differentiation, a model of differentiation of syndromes in TCM is presented based on D-S theory. This model uses group decision-making to realize evidence fusion by means of the symptom factors as discernment frame and the result of expert diagnosing as basic belief assignment.The proposed model can reduce system uncertainty and improve both accuracy and reliability. A coronary heart diagnosis example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the model.
