Lexicon Ambiguity Resolution: Theories, Methods and Current Status
Hua Shu · 2000
During the past two decades, lexical ambiguity resolution has been an important area for the investigation of context in word recognition. So far four kinds of models have been proposed, multiple access model, selective access model, reordered access model, and integration model. There is still debate over the results of different studies. Future researchers should focus their attention on the influence of sentence context on lexical ambiguity resolution. Moreover, the inhibitions to the processing of ambiguous words should be explored further in future study.
