Design of Digital Mixer in Software Radio System with FPGA's Implementation

The paper discussed the methods of designing the digital mixer used in software radio system, and analyzed the defect of the traditional structure, then brought forward two new methods: the ameliorating method of traditional structure based on differential compensation and the CORDIC-based method, with FPGA's implementations and characteristic comparison of them. The two methods can both accomplish mixing high rate signals with few resources cost, so they are fit for software radio system.
