Objective To compare the tracheooesophageal and normal voice by means of acoustic analysis of the vocal frequency spectrum. Methods Fundamental Frequency(F 0),Formant,shimmer,jitter,acoustic time-territory waveform and diagram among 26 tracheooesophageal and 32 normal speakers were examined by using USSA and the difference between the two groups were analyzed. Results Tracheooesophageal speakers had wider fundamental Frequency range, higher shimmer and jitter. The frequency energy distribution of formant in tracheooesophageal voice was similar to that of the normal group, whereas not the time-territory waveform. The diagram had some generality within the tracheooesophageal voice group. There was no significant differences of acoustic diagrammatic parameters between the two groups, and every parameter is explicit. Conclusion The acoustic parameters of tracheooesophageal speakers had no difference from those of normal speakers, and they can meet the need of daily conversation.
