New SNR Estimation Algorithm for QAM Signals

To solve the low estimation accuracy,higher complexity,great capacity of QAM SNR estimate under the flat fading channel,a new simple and applied SNR estimation algorithm is proposed.The two-order moments and four-order moments of sampling signal are calculated,the linearity relationships between the SNR of different QAM and higher moments are created,and the coefficients are solved with least squares.The complexity of the algorithm is calculated,and an improved algorithm is proposed under lower complexity.Simulation results show that the estimation accuracy of this algorithm becomes higher,the realization is simple,and the complexity of the improved algorithm is obviously lower,but the performance still keeps better.
